The Diamond Inn in Ponteland, Northumberland

is situated at the heart of the village. A traditional welcoming pub which offers outstanding accommodation, freshly prepared food at the Lifestyle Cafe, a contemporary bar and outside bar facilities for all types of events. The Rock is also available to hire for weddings, parties, conferences, corporate functions or anything you wish to celebrate.

Established in the early 1700’s as an old coaching inn, the much loved public house has been expertly run by Paul Holliday since 1986 when it underwent an extensive refurbishment.

Recently The Diamond has undergone an even bigger transformation.

Downstairs maintains its character and country pub feel and boasts a fresh approach to the food menu with our new in house caterer “Lifestyle Café”. The pub also benefits extra floor space, so even more customers can enjoy an evening at The Diamond.

The Rock upstairs has now also undergone a huge transformation to "Above and Beyond - the contemporary bar and kitchen at The Rock". Once only open for functions it is now open every day to the public from 11.30am-1am serving a healthy lunch menu from 12-4pm and a contemporary canapé menu from 5-9pm. See here for all the details.
